December Sunlight

This is the tab to the song "December Sunlight", a song by The The off their 2000 album "NakedSelf". It's extremely simple, just 4 chords played repeatedly. It's originally played on a baritone guitar, so it won't sound quite the same on a normal guitar, but close enough. Also, the interludes between verses are a guitar effect you can't exactly reproduce, so I usually play a quick bounce off of each chord. The chords are as follows: C Bb Am e---0---- e--x---- e--0---- B---1---- B--x---- B--1---- G---0---- G--3---- G--2---- D---2---- D--3---- D--2---- A---3---- A--1---- A--0---- E---x---- E--x---- E--x---- Intro: C Bb Am C C Bb The early morning sun lit up her room Am C But it wasn’t just a change in the weather C Bb She’d read it in her stars and now she felt it in her heart Am C Life was gonna start getting better C And there was a time when she would pray Bb That each teardrop that rolled down her face Am C Would represent a day of pain for him C Bb But she’s changing the way she feels Am C About wasting her time and tears C Bb Am C Cried out, cried out, cried out C Bb Am C Cried out, cried out, cried out (interlude) C Bb And all the tricks and all the lies Am He tried to pull over her eyes C Kept running through her mind C Bb She looks back in disbelief Am In confusion and in grief C At what his secrecy was revealing C You can scream into the pillow Bb You can pray into the night Am But you can’t switch off your feelings C Like you’d switch out the light C Bb But she’s changing the way she feels Am C About wasting her time and tears C Bb Am C Cried out, cried out, cried out C Bb Am C Cried out, cried out, cried out (interlude) C Bb And now these winter skies Am Turn blue and bright C And she feels alive C And wants to drink every kiss Bb Make up for what she’s missed Am C And wipe him out of her mind C Bb Some day he’ll have to grow up Am And come clean, and listen to the screams C Of his own conscience C Cry out, cry out, cry out Bb Cry out, cry out, cry out Am Cry out, cry out, cry out, C Cry out, cry out, cry out... ... And she’ll not hear a sound. Email me at thethefan100@yahoo.com if you have suggestions. Thanks for reading!
